How to change a gear shift knob (on a 2000 Celica - don't know how to get the old one off!)?

I bought a MOMO gear shift knob. It came with instructions on how to install it. However, I have no idea how to take the old one off!





The car is a 2000 Toyota Celica|||The shift knob on your celica screws on. If you turn the shift knob counter-clockwise, it should loosen and eventually come off. You can put the replacement on by crewing it on clockwise.
