How do you replace the gearshift knob on a 93 Honda Accord?

Looking to change shifting knobs. but im not sure how to remove the original.|||If it is a manual you will need to do the following:





1. You see the silver ring just below the rubber of the OEM knob? It may have worn, but it was at one point silver. Pull down on that. It will remain attached to the boot but should come unclipped from the knob. Pull hard.





2. Once that is detached, you can simply twist the knob counter-clockwise to unscrew it.





The difficulty may come in finding or modifying the stock boot to fit the knob you are putting on. In my dads 93 accord and in my 89 prelude, I just painted the numbers white and red (respectively) and left them alone.
