Can you change the shift knob on a 2005 Ford Ranger?

I was just wondering if it is changable. I know some shift knobs can%26#039;t be changed|||here is a link that explain how to take off the shifter for an older model ford ranger. I would try the directions to see if your shifter can come off and be replaced.
