How to change del sol automatic shift knob?

i was thinking about changing my knob because the handle is getting kind of old and worn. and since i am not used to automatics idk how to switch it because of the push button locking mechanism. is this possible or would it be easier to just eliminate the locking mechanism (locking it into open position) and going with a button-less knob?|||Do not undo the lock on your automatic shifter. Many cars require the lock to be engined in park for the car to start...

Since you have a del sol there is most likey aftermarket automatic shift knobs. If not, there are universal knobs, but all knobs will fit every car. Check parts to see if they are marked for %26quot;Honda%26quot; fitment.

If it is that bad and you can%26#039;t find a replacement, i%26#039;m sure you can get an OEM parts from parts store or dealership (ick @ dealerships for prices though). A junkyard may also be a way to find a better condition one (not to mention practice at taking the knob off without breaking the linkage).

Buttonless Knobs are for manual trans!

Good Luck!|||u cant take away the lock...and it easy to switch i just cant explain it!
