i just ordered and recieved a new shift boot and knob for my 99 civic si and want to change it but not to sure how. so please help me and me as exact and specific as possible. thanks.

dont waste any money on a manual... boots and knobs are simple, just take out the center console unless the piece with the boot on it is seperate, then swap the boot and put it all back together!! It's simple, just tinker with stuff if you cant do it at first, you'll figure it out.

The best bet is to run down to your local auto parts store and buy a Haynes manual for your car. They'll be far more detailed than we could be (showing pictures, exploded views of the parts) and giving very specific directions.
